The people behind the practice

Same family, same town, same care since 1979.

Dr. Deanna Barden of Barden Family Dentistry

Dr. Deanna Barden

Dentist & Owner

Everyone calls her Dr. Dee. She grew up in Osawatomie, and after eight years teaching, she came home in 2015 to buy the practice her father, Dr. Dennis Barden, started in 1979. She wanted to keep caring for the people she grew up with.

Her teaching background is the reason no one leaves her chair confused. She walks you through what she found, what she recommends, and what it will take, in plain language, before anything happens. She trained in surgical extractions at the Koerner Center, so many patients can be treated right here instead of driving out of town, and she offers oral conscious sedation for patients whose nerves have kept them away for years.

No judgment, no rush. Just good dentistry, from someone who plans to be your neighbor for a long time.

The Barden Family Dentistry team

Rooted in Osawatomie

For over 40 years, Barden Family Dentistry has been part of this town. Dr. Dennis Barden opened the doors in 1979, and today his daughter carries it on alongside a team whose roots run just as deep, including Elaine Brocker, who's been part of our team for over 30 years, and our hygienist, Kortney Burnett, who grew up right here. Erin Hofbauer, our newest team member and hygienist, lives in Paola with her husband Parker and their two kids. When you sit in our chair, chances are you already know someone here. Alongside Dr. Dee you'll meet Natalie Hunter, our assistant, and Riley Degner, who handles scheduling and treatment coordination.
