  1. Brushing at night before bed is the most crucial. Avoid drinking anything except plain water after you brush at night.

  2. When brushing your back teeth, close down slightly so you have more space to get all surfaces of your back teeth as well.

  3. Time to switch to an electric toothbrush. They are far more effective.

  4. Your toothbrush should be half on your tooth and half on your tissue to get slightly under the gum line as well.

  5. Parents, if your kids don't have the dexterity to tie their shoes, they don't have the dexterity to brush their teeth by themselves. Have your child start by themselves and then go in after to help.
